Sitare means “stars” — and on a clear Ooty night, from any of our three gardens, you’ll understand the name.

One compound, three homes

Sitare is a single, quiet compound in Ooty that holds three private luxury villas — Serene, Solace and Sierra. Each villa stands in its own garden with its own gazebo, so every booking enjoys complete privacy; together, the estate hosts up to twenty guests for weddings-adjacent gatherings, milestone birthdays and family reunions in the hills.

We built Sitare around a simple idea: the comfort of a fine hotel, with the intimacy of your own home. Every bedroom has its own attached bathroom. Breakfast is cooked fresh each morning and included with every stay, and our chef remains on site through the day for meals made to your taste. A caretaker and housekeeping team look after the rest, quietly.

Whether you take one villa or all three, you’ll find the same things waiting: clean mountain air, gardens made for slow mornings, and the Nilgiri stars overhead.
